Bored with things around me.. so did a macro shot of a cherry tomato out of desperation! One of my fav foodstuffs, well at least they were. British supermarkets always stock the force-grown ones from the Netherlands which are tasteless. We need some sunshine in the UK, lol, makes everything taste sweeter!

@miranda I either ramp up the flash when shooting against a white background, or use two light sources - I dont have studio lights, so I use normal lamps. If you light the background with one, then light the photo with the other light source, it keeps the background clean. Do have to remember to change the settings on the camera to Tungsten light tho, otherwise it gets a yellow hue. Oh, and it only really works with small objects because its a circle of light used. Hope that helps!

Fantastic shot! I know what you mean about store-bought tomatoes! I can't wait for spring, so I can get busy in the garden, growing tomatoes of all kinds, even some Heirlooms, which taste heavenly!
