Everything it seems!

I can definitely smell mince pies, which means it must be time to prove to Santa I have been a jolly good girl this year and present him with my Christmas wish list, full of photography treats (and not a gimmicky gift in sight!).

You might still have time to pop these great gifts on yours too – or maybe treat a fellow photographer to something they will definitely treasure. Check out our 2013 Photographer’s Christmas Gift Wish List!

Lomography Smartphone Film Scanner

The perfect Christmas gift for someone who has lots of photos on film that they’d like to upload to their 365 Project quickly and easily. Insert the negative into the backlit scanner, then take a picture of it using the camera on a smartphone. Then with some clever jiggery-pokery in the form of an app, your negative is turned into something you can instantly share with the world!

Sony Lens Camera

Wireless technology has hit a new high with the all-new Sony lens cameras. These lenses transform smartphones into high performance digital cameras, and seriously reduce the amount of kit you might want to carry around. Either attach the lens to your phone for a more ‘traditional’ camera feel, or take the leap and use them separately to get shots that were barely possible before. The QX10 offers 18.2MP, 10x Optical Zoom and the QX100 boasts 20.2MP, Carl Zeiss F1.8 Lens, 3.6x Optical Zoom. Both are Wi-Fi enabled for instant sharing.

Grafea Leather Camera Bag

I have coveted this bag for a while now, and I am really hoping the brown one appears under my tree at Christmas! It looks fabulous, is completely practical (which is unusual for the bags in my collection) and is built to last. Just what adventurous photographers need without compromising on style!

Manfrotto Tripod

Simple, lightweight and sturdy. What more can you ask for in a tripod? Manfrotto have a huge range available and this is at their cheapest end of the scale. A practical present that would be welcomed by any photographer.

Lomography Konstruktor DIY Kit

I love film photography, and experimenting, so the Konstruktor from Lomo has made it on my Christmas wish list. It is a beautifully packaged plastic SLR camera that you have to construct yourself, great fun on Christmas day, and an excellent addition to any SLR collection. It is also perfect for those who are new to film photography as it teaches you about what the bits in a camera do. Comes with 50mm f/10 lens, has multiple exposure capability and a tripod thread for long exposures.

Oh, my goodness. I so need that negative scanner. I have tons of negatives from the 4 years we were stationed in Europe. I would love to have them in a digital format.

My husband got me a new Nikon Coolpix 520 for Christmas (I know because I picked it out). And my kids are getting me the negative scanner above (I ordered it and had it shipped to my in-laws so I would be surprised on Christmas morning! LOL!).

I doubt I'll get it this year, but I'd love a portable light kit so that I can take better indoors portraits whether I'm doing it at home or at a friend's house. Even something simple to back or side light my subject would be nice. :-)

Maybe next year...
