Weekly Theme - Panoramic

by bilbaroo on Jul 17th 2018

This week we want to feel like we're right there in the photograph and taking in everything around us. That's right, this week's theme is 'panoramic'.

Even though our instinct is to point and shoot, while pivoting round on one foot to smoothly get everything around us, it's still important to think about composition. Remember to take a minute to think about making sure your viewers are drawn into what you feel is the focal point.

Lucky for us 365ers most smartphones have brilliant built-in panoramic functions. So, next time you're out exploring, try snapping an extra wide shot with your phone and see how you get on!

For the digital savvy, you might enjoy stitching images together in Photoshop, which should make for a stunning high resolution capture.

Wherever you end up this week, we can't wait to see what you come up with!

How to enter this week's theme

When uploading your photos use the tag section (on the edit/organise screen) and insert this week's theme tag: theme-panoramic .

Entry Guidelines: Photos must be your own and must have been taken and uploaded from Tuesday 17th July until the following Sunday (6 days). 5 finalists will be chosen on the Monday evening (PST), then you get to vote for the winner.

Winner of the 'Half' theme

Thank you to everyone who took a minute to vote. We're very excited to announce @eveinatx as the winner for the 'man made' theme!

With a huge majority of votes, @eveinatx took the community by storm! With the almost-perfect symmetrical composition and beautiful contrast of the black water against the bright white rowing boat, it's no surprise that this unsuspecting sculler stood out.

Vote for the 'Anatomy' theme winner

It looks like you guys had a lot of fun with the anatomy theme. We certainly enjoyed looking at your submissions, so may of them made us smile! It wasn't easy, but we managed to choose just five finalists in the end, so now it's over to you.

To cast your vote, just reply to this blog post with the number (in digit form) of the photo you would like to see win.
