@jack4john Not really, as there is a lot of history and emotion attached to that road due to America's love affair with cars. Route 66 used to be the only road that stretched unimpeded from Chicago to California, and a lot of little cities grew up beside that road. Most all those cities are now either abandoned or in deep decline since several Interstates have been built.
