Route 66

A shot of the bikers rolling into town. About a dozen bikers from Germany rented Harley's and were riding a portion of Route 66, America's original highway. .

We stayed somewhere near here on Route 66 but didn't see these bikers! However our loyalty lies with Indian bikes!

I can hear the song in my head, just looking at this picture, Route 66 sounds so iconic. Iwonder to you guy's who live in the area is it just a cliché?

@jack4john Not really, as there is a lot of history and emotion attached to that road due to America's love affair with cars. Route 66 used to be the only road that stretched unimpeded from Chicago to California, and a lot of little cities grew up beside that road. Most all those cities are now either abandoned or in deep decline since several Interstates have been built. This article kind of hints to the turmoil that those cities endure: http://articles.chicagotribune.com/1995-08-27/news/9508270348_1_steven-colbern-timothy-mcveigh-route they kind of breed resentment.
