Classic image of Copenhagen. I learned that her head got stolen not once, but twice. The authorities never recovered the original head after the second time it was stolen. This statue is commonly a target for vandals and protests. It's a lovely statue.
My daughter lived and worked in Copenhagen for some time; she told us that the mermaid statue was much smaller than she's thought.

You were lucky to get the shot without hords of tourists queuing up to have their picture taken with her. Much better in mono than the normal colour versions one sees.

@bob65 There were loads of people doing that, I had to wait my turn. I couldn't decide I I liked the shot better in color or b&w, but the b&w won in the end, so thank you for the compliment, much appreciated 😊
