fallen

Two views of a fallen saguaro. https://dbg.org/a-disappearing-icon/

At least this one fell away from the house. I have seen some that fell on top of a roof and cause lots of damage. These things are HEAVY! And, no, the fallen limbs cannot be replanted to grow a new saguaro. I looked that up already because I've thought about replanting them myself.
How sad.

At one time, in Arizona, it was illegal to transplant saguaro.

@byrdlip yes, that's still the case. However, nurseries propagate and sell them.

@blueberry1222 It is, however, an interesting contrast in environments between "saguaro" and "fallen", both 1 Feb photos.

It seems to have been a huge one! Is it old age that makes them fall?

@byrdlip two sides of the same coin....

@blueberry1222 Interesting first third of the video. Yes, Washington state is more expensive than Arizona, as stated.
