Since the sunsets have been so colorful the last couple of days and the theme this week is silhouette I figure I might as well take advantage of it before the clouds roll back in later this week. One of my favorite trees is this tall cottonless Cottonwood. We planted this when we first moved here in 1990....now it towers over everthing else in the yard plus when there is any kind of breeze the leaves make this great rustling sound I love to hear.
Just a gorgeous sunset pic. So amazing that the tree has grown that much since '90. My father passed that year and it just seems like yesterday to me...but looking at the tree...wow!
Thank you for all your nice comments, your encouraging words help keep me motivated. Some days I can't think of a single thing to take a picture of and want to say the heck with it and other days Mother Nature comes to the rescue. Glad I got some sunset shots yesterday though because I think the sun will be away on vacation for the next few days. I knew it was too good to last long this time of year!
@Swazzette Thank you Sue! Scary isn't it how fast time flies by? My kids were in grade school back then and just like this tree they're all grown up now! :)
