This picture was created by the late afternon sun shining through the frozen ice droplets on my windshield. I was too lazy to scrape my windshield before I left and I soon noticed that when the sun hit them it created a nice sparkle effect so of course I had to pull over, grab the camera and see what would happen if I tried to take a picture of the trees through the windshield and ice. Not bad...then I tried it with the star filter on. Here you go...thiis picture is a product of that experiment. It is a bit odd but it'sgoing to be my picture of the day! :)
I wondered if anyone else would notice the heart-shaped sun....good. I'm not crazy since Amy & Josh just said they noticed it too!! :)
This is part of the fun of being a photographer. We would never notice if we weren't always thinking about a photo. Life is now filled with beauty in the ordinary moments.
Isn't it interesting how we all look at a frozen windshield now for effect and taking a picture. Before 365 we would have just scraped and drove off. Really nice picture of the morning sun.
@clarebear14@eliserose781@anprice24@joshwindswept@jonna@omabluebird@anderfam Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving such nice comments! It was just one of those happy accidents with the heart shaped sun....I was actually unhappy with how blown out the sun was but decided to let it go because of the shape.
@wac Thank you Wendy for always leaving such nice comments and offering your encouragement. The single greatest benefit I've gained since joining this project, as cliche as it sounds, is that I honestly see the world around me in a whole new light. I see everything as a potential photo now, I am aware of things I would have never even noticed whereas before I used the camera on grandkids, special occasions, vacations and pretty sunsets....then the camera was put away, sometimes for months on end. I love this community.
@sherijeanne@jjsooner@daisy@bpizzo@maggie2 Thank you ladies for your kind words, I love reading your comments. You keep me motivated with your comments and more importantly, your photos, to keep getting out there on these cold winter days when I don't want to leave the house, let alone go out and take pictures!! :)
@pfmandeville@aprilrss@lynnmwatson@girlie@geertje@naturalp@shadowdancer A big thank you to all of you for your nice comments, I appreciate your feedback. I didn't bother scraping the windshield since it wasn't a sheet of ice...it just looked like rain drops had frozen as they started to run down the windshield. I was cussing my defroster for not melting it faster as I was driving and then I saw the trees on the passenger side so I decided I might as well try to take a picture while I was waiting for the defroster to work.
