I'm Still Standin by bluemoon

I'm Still Standin

I couldn't help but think of the Elton John song while working on this picture. It's showing some signs of aging but hey, it's still standin after all this time.

I might as well start a barn series since that seems to be about all I can come up with lately. What can I say, there's a million of em around here. This is version !.
I love this!!!! Great composition!

I love old barns, Paula. As I looked at this, before I read your comment, I was thinking you need to do a barn series. We have many old barns near our cottage in northern Michigan and I plan to do a series come summer when I am up there more. The caption is great. Barns do seem to weather time - and stand and stand and stand.

Definitely works for me. Dilapidated buildings are so very photogenic... especially when converted so beautifully to mono. Superbly done!!!

Nice find! Love the processing!

I think you had fun with this photo. I like the black and white and all of textures. You could do a series of different old barns with the same processing (if you remember!) and have a great set of prints. Very nice.

I love old barns too. They capture so much emotion to me. You know if they could talk, they would have some great stories to tell!
Great processing-love the texture you've added.

@hiddencreek @jonna @jobesekama @kezzam @lynnmwatson @omabluebird @katrinacristy @wac @jjsooner @aikiuser @aprilrss Thanks so much you guys for the encouraging words. I admit I went a little crazy with textures and tones on this one and I have no idea how I got it to this point but it was fun getting there!:)

Love the black and white effect...makes it seem more of a relic that it might in color. Nice capture!
