I've run out of things to take pictures of lately....I'm pretty sure I've shot every tree, weed, seed, bird and barn in the state so I decided to take out my new crystal ball and play with it I just held the crystal ball in front of me and took a picture, then after importing I flipped the image, decided to used black/white which didn't change it much since it was such a gray day anyway , boosted the contrast and added a frame to it and VOILA, one incredibly strange picture!! :)
The first time I saw a crystal ball picture I was blown away so I had to order one! Inspiration courtesy of Beth Hutter who knows how to take great pictures with hers:
Wow! I have a crystal ball I bought on a business trip in China, gathering dust on a dress in my closet. I'll have to polish it up and get it out, thanks for the idea! You're right -- it IS beginning to be hard to come up with fresh ideas for pictures.
Really neat! Very creative!! I know what you mean, it's hard finding new things to photograph. It's been pretty yucky weather here, and my daughter and I have been struggling trying to find things inside day after day.
Thank you all so much for the kind comments....I really had no idea of what to do with this crystal ball when I took it out for a shoot (and still don't really). I think it will be more fun when the weather turns nice and there is some color and more outdoor photo opportunities. Now everything seems to be varying shades of gray so not to inspired by what I'm seeing in it.
Great pic - crystal balls are fun (a friend of mine did an awesome shot of one refracting moonlight - sadly I only have a print of it so can't share, but might give you some more ideas...)
