I must be crazy....it's a balmy 3 degrees out tonight and I decide to haul the tripod out into the front yard and try to get a moon shot. I'm guessing this would be a lot more fun in July. I tried a couple different settings and this is probably the best of the bunch. I'm not all that well versed on moon photography so I have no idea what the preferred settings are...I'll have to research that BEFORE I try it next time. I definitely think I need Santa to bring me a longer lense though or maybe a teleconverter for Christmas, the one I used tonight doesn't get close enough or capture much detail. I've seen some moonshots with amazing detail and I wonder how the heck they do that, Right now I'm just having a great time playing around with this camera and my goal is to keep experimenting to see what works and what doesn't and then try something else :)
I know what you mean. I go out there to take a quick shot of something and by the time I'm back in I'm frozen. it's just to darn cold
