Happy 175th birthday! The wonderful Theatre Royal is celebrating with a huge birthday blaze. Stumbled upon this tonight after meeting with my cousin's wife for a lovely catch up after work. Her first visit to England and the region. It was lovely having a little German chin wag over coffee. Had thought to do some night shots in town but had only realised when I arrived what was in store. What a spectacle - simply magical, whimsical and just beautiful. Spent 2 hours in the freezing cold wandering around with my camera and taking advantage of every litter bin to rest my little tripod on...Oh how I wish my proper tripod head had already arrived ;-)
Lots of high ISO shots too to capture the scenes - different areas along Grey Street depicting some theatre magic. We were free to wander around from scene to scene.
Thanks to all you lovely people for the comments on yesterday's shots. Still playing catch up (I know, I know...) but had 460 odd shots to sort through when I got in!!
