So I went off Aurora hunting after work. Seemed perfect conditions what with clear skies and high solar storm activity...Well, Aurora is a fickle lady and didn't want to play. And then the moon came up and was so bright, nothing else stood a chance! But it was a beautiful night, hearing the seabirds calling softly and watching the stars and the moon!
Gorgeous stars too - the rising moon was absolutely massive here yesterday - shame about the cloud and the A14 not being the best place to look at it! Shame about the aurora but you've taken a beauty here.
Beautiful. I love the stars, there has been a lot of nice skies recently, you have inspired me to capture one. I didn't think it was worth it without getting a Telephoto lens but your EXIF says 24mm so i'm gonna get my tripod out late just as soon as I can!
This is just beautiful, think the aurora was quite elusive last night by all accounts! But that seems to have been to your benefit. Gorgeous blue tones to this! Reminds me of the super moon night last year!
