086 - Looking down on Collioure

I went to the fracture clinic yesterday, so finally got to find out in good English what my injuries were. The French did a good job with the screws in my ankle, and my fibula is broken half way down. I am now in an inflatable boot for the next three weeks and can gradually increase the weight I put on it. Then it will be a period of rehabilitation. The shoulder and ribs are healing so walking with the zimmer frame is easier and and I can manage short distances with crutches. So all heading in the right direction.
Pleased to hear you are making progress......if slow progress !

Beautiful scene and such a lovely place. We went there a few years ago quite late on in the year but still warm and very pleasant.

A FAV! That is good news! Is a Zimmer frame the same thing as a walker? An inflatable boot sounds better too! I broke my foot once and did not need surgery. However, by the time they took my cast off, my foot was swollen, shiny and numb. I had developed complex regional pain syndrome and the doctor looked nervous! With physical therapy, it did go away...

@gardenfolk Yes a Zimmer frame is the same as a walker. Today is my first day without a support on the leg.

@bob65 Wonderful news, Bob! When I broke my foot, I had to keep weight off it for 6 weeks and was stuck in a solid cast, which slowed my progress! You are doing great!
