Mossy wall by boxplayer

Mossy wall

This wall is particularly unkempt and mossy even the street sign. By the old unused police station.

Slept quite well, but was awake at 6.30 - I grumpily told Dave not to get up yet as I wanted to sleep some more and then managed to sleep most of the way to 8.30.

Had some odd anxiety dreams though - dreamed I was at the old King's Cross pond (now closed) but had forgotten my swimsuit so as I was wearing a long tunic thing I went in in that. But then I was out of the pool and spent the rest of the dream anxiously trying to find a locker and wondering what to do with my valuables.

Got myself ready very quickly and left to go to Pilates - weather quite dank and damp - but much milder than it has been. Back home, did a bit of chores, tidying away Christmas stuff, getting J's bedding sorted as he was returning this evening. And a nice breakfast of mushrooms and toast.

Then a bit more tidying before going out to see Rogue One. Not a bad caper although a little over-long and bit formulaic. Came home via the Clapton Craft beer shop where Dave filled up his bottle.

Found J at home when we got in and we caught up over veggie burgers and fishfingers in pittas and, for me at any rate, 2 lots of my sister's very yummy Christmas cake with a lot of cheese.

We then settled in the sitting room, me to do some photo work and Dave to read. He decided to fix something on his guitar that had broken off with superglue. He disappeared after for a bit and I heard a lot of banging and watery noises. He appeared then holding his beer tankard and admitted he'd superglued his fingers together - around the beer tankard.

He was laughing about it although I was a touch panicky as I tend to get wondering how he'd get it off. A quick google pointed to nail varnish remover (none in the house) or hot soapy water as an antidote.

So after a few minutes immersed in soapy water he did manage to free his fingers. Phew. He's reading quietly now - out of mischief.

I like the wall with its lichen and moss interspersed with red bricks (or vice versa!) I think you are the perfect example of a 'properly' run 365 project. I feel your commentary must take up a not inconsiderable amount of time. I keep a diary every night but just a few lines before I turn the light out.

There are worse things to be permanently holding... I have been dreaming as well but about things I should actually do something about!
