This is the most delightful gin - 47 botanicals and 47 per cent. Very flavourful and very strong. One of my Christmas presents.
Dave sorted out the flush in the morning before we had a halloumi fry-up breakfast. Mum feeling a little fragile tummy-wise so only had a small breakfast. We had had quite a lot to eat yesterday.
The flush went again later on so Dave had to get the drill out again - so irritating that the cistern is behind a tiled panel. Mum relaxed for a bit in the sitting room letting her tummy calm down then we drove her back home.
Another irritation - as I walked up to her front door to help her up the stairs with her suitcase, I stepped in the most enormous turd just outside her door - dog or human, who knows. Absolutely disgusting. Wiped my shoe as best I could then went upstairs with her. Got a few plastic bags and a damp cloth so I could clean it up as much as poss.
Dinner of leftover wellington, roast veg and potatoes from Christmas Day.
Festive viewing: Sherlock Holmes with Robert Downey Jr which we'd recorded and the first episode of Little Women.
I never really drink gin tonic, but todau had 'gin experience' in Criccieth with some friends. And Monkey 47 was on their list (made in Germany if I remember correctly). I had a Forest (Macclesfield) and William Chase Seville. Really nice for a change.
