Paternoster session by boxplayer

Paternoster session

The folk session with fiddles in full swing.

Another busy day - a halloumi fry-up eaten outside again before I left to get the tube to St Paul's for the Paternoster session. A very good, turnout - busy with some good musicians and tunes. Elena turned up too and started a few.

Had a bit of a dodgy tummy when I arrived so kept to fizzy water. My sister and B arrived about half way through and listened until the end then we went off in search of a drink or late lunch preferably in the sun.

Ended up on the South Bank. The Founders Arms was very busy so walked on to Gabriel's Wharf where we found a sunnyish spot on a terrace outside Studio 6. Shared some small plates, mezze, houmous, tarama, calamari etc and I had a glass of rose.

Walked back towards Waterloo with the aim of getting the tube home, but found the South Bank Centre roof garden - a lovely oasis with lots of seating and hidden nooks. T and B aren't drinking this month but will make an exception for champagne, so they had a glass and I had a gin - definitely very sunny up there.

On to Waterloo and back home for a bit of cake and an early night.
