The Poozies by boxplayer

The Poozies

Playing in the village as part of St Mary's Music Hall - this latest incarnation of the band (with one original member) played an absolutely stonking set full of energy and amazing virtuosity.

Rather disappointingly, there was no Pilates today - cancelled for some reason. Knee still a bit problematic so didn't walk through parks again.

After work, I got the tube to Walthamstow Central and walked up to the village and St Mary's to bein time for the doors opening at 6.30. It was very quiet though so I had my pick of pews - got one right at the front and bagsied my space with the garden chair cushion I'd brought. Not very comfortable are these pews not unsurprisingly.

Went out to get a vegetarian thali from Sham's Kitchen outside - this very tasty if a bit filling. Got myself a glass of wine and read my book until the support act came on. Tashkezar were excellent - fine singer and some great Med fusion numbers - also had Olga who I know from bal folk stuff on fiddle.

A short interval - then The Poozies came on. Very blustery walking back although not cold yet. But still bolted home though - seemed extra quiet on the streets though not all that late - the wind must have kept people at home.
