Festive bee

A new decoration for our real Christmas tree.

A rather non-stop day of final preps for Christmas. Cycled out well early to the sorting office to pick up a parcel and took the chance to nip into Lidl and the International Supermarket too before the crowds had had a chance to descend.

Cycled back via one of the E17 Designers to pick up another honeybee cushion for my sister's Christmas present. Had a quick cup of tea at home before heading out again.

Cycled to Wood Street and had a look round the little market and Second Nature still looking for odd Christmas and birthday presents. Cycled up to the village, the Mall (picking up a new speaker in a very busy Argos) and then ended up at the gift shops in Hoe Street where I found a few more bits and pieces including Dave's cracker present - a Simon's Cat car air freshener.

Was getting quite dark by this time but luckily it was all cycle path home otherwise I'd have been a bit invisible on the dark roads. Dave was still out when I got back - having gone off to the high street and Waterstone's.

Festive viewing - the first part of Watership Down and the documentary about Goodness Gracious Me - a comedy series we remember fondly.
