I wandered lonely as a daffodil

A lone daffodil among the hordes in Green Park.

Beautifully sunny in the park with the crows cawing, and all the daffodils, now fully out. Quite quiet on the lake, except for the noisy Egyptian geese and lots of fat coots.

Interestingly having come to the conclusion that the black and white swan group has dispersed with the adults leaving the cygnets to fend for themselves, I saw an interesting incident. One of the cygnets was chasing another away, over and over, until finally the bullied cygnet ran off towards an adult swan in the distance. The adult swan made its way towards the cygnet and they both swam off together - must have been one of the parents.

Saw lots of red crested pochards today also including a female.

Work of course was crazy and non-stop. The campaign was approved finally but had loads of emails to deal with. Kind of good was that Pilates was cancelled - not good for my fitness, but was so busy.

Very tired when I got back having worked till 7.15, and Dave was still unwell, so it was smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and an episode of Outnumbered.
