Brunch at Evelina's Patisserie

Becoming a bit of a habit when we go anywhere near mum's old flat.

Up very early to drive to mum's so we could transport a chair and some other random bits and pieces from her old to her new flat. Had brunch first in Evelina's Patisserie - the usual salmon and avocado on bread with poached eggs. Found a new cake to try - a round chocolate mousse type thing which was divinely yummy.

Packed the car and drove to the new flat and took away some old shelving and a big marbleish table top that she wanted getting rid of. We left the outside the house when we returned in case somebody fancied them and took them away saving us a trip to the dump.

Read in the garden with 'Love in the time of Kahlua' cocktail as it was quite warm with sunny intervals. Got rather sleepy so Dave bless him brought down the camp bed from the spare room and I dozed.

It stayed dry despite big ominous clouds passing over occasionally. Made a big soup with lentils, squash and carrots for our lunches. Uploaded some pics (watching the stuff we'd left outside get taken away) then had a supper of new potatoes with broad beans, broccoli and pilchards from an ancient tin that's been in our cupboard for years. They seemed fine.
