Our photo album we've put together for the neighbours as a souvenir of their time here - some pics of them but also the foxes of course.
Felt terribly down this morning, partly because of the neighbours moving, but also I think because of the rather intense tummy upset I'd had last night - felt washed out.
The most enormous lorry in the universe arrived at 9 to start packing up next door's stuff - they were at it till mid-afternoon - coming back tomorrow to finish off.
Decided to do a short day and just work the morning - clearing emails as was off last Friday and getting a meeting out of the way. Logged off at 12.30 and relaxed the rest of the day - a bit of reading, dozing, photos. Dave wrapped the neighbours' presents - including the Snowy and foxy cuddly toys for the children. Also arrived today was my 2014 photo book - always a treat.
After a tuna pasta supper, a final fence fizz with the neighbours - handed over our card and presents and chatted one last time. We will visit of course, but it won't be the same.
And finally, we have a viewing booked in for the flat on Wednesday - and have also arranged an electrical safety visit.
What a lovely, thoughtful gift. I really feel for you with good neighbours moving away. Good neighbours are so precious - I know because we are also blessed.
How lucky you are to have such neighbours that you'll miss and care enough to send them on their way with a book of memories.
I hope your new neighbours are wonderful too :-)
