Banh mi by boxplayer

Banh mi

At Crate in St James Street - a sort of mini Boxpark rip-off for all the Shoreditch-wannalives here now.

So we move into stage 2 of Boris's roadmap out of lockdown. Pubs and restaurants can now serve food outdoors. So I've decided to eat out every lunch hour this week.

Today I cycled down to Crate at St James Street where there were a few eaterie options open. Settled for Hanoi Ca Phe - doing their Vietnamese street food - here a banh mi with vegan pork. Very good it was. Plus a bottle of beer - it would have been rude not to. I'd come prepared with my puffa jacket as it was absolutely freezing (no snow unlike other parts of the south) but they had heaters - so all good.

Picked up a cinnamon bun and doughnut from the posh deli/gift shop opposite and cycled back. Work very quiet as we're not allowed to publish anything during the mourning period for Prince Philip.

Found someone who can come and have a look at the dodgy ignition on the cooker at the flat.

In other news, Shirley Williams died today - a grand old dame indeed.
