Goodbye selfie by boxplayer

Goodbye selfie

With C who was moving out today. Popped out mid afternoon to say goodbye. Richard will be back briefly tomorrow morning, but after that they're officially moving to Edinburgh. Another sad loss for the street.

Worked from home just in case of any headache recurrence. Sister, N and R were out of the house mid morning visiting family and exhibitions. I had a long day tidying up stuff as off until after Easter. Heard that our boss, currently off with stress-related issues has been signed off for another two weeks after Easter.

Logged off gone 6 with barely enough time to leave to meet sister and co at Dishoom in King's Cross for a celebratory meal for R's graduation. We were running late but didn't matter as we had to queue for a while to get in. Then a wait inside at the bar. Eventually at our table we ordered an interesting mix of food to share - all extremely tasty.

In other news, our great leaders have been fined for attending illegal parties during lockdown. And Finland and Sweden 'make moves to join Nato'. Right...

3 good things
1. Headache seemed to have passed and felt much better even if night was restless. Thanks for all the good wishes.
2. Delicious food at Dishoom - including gulab jamun with citrus ice cream.
3. Off now until next Tuesday - a welcome break is the long Easter weekend.

Sad to see good neighbours departing. I love gulab jamuns, but not many of the Indian restaurants here serve them. I used to make them years ago.

Neighbours are so important to our peace if mind….I never realised before how vital it is you get on. It’s a new thing fir us having people right next door & I remember my mum being so upset about the unreasonable behaviour of the woman next door.
Sad to see then go….perhaps a visit up north…….
