Raised beds and garden plan haven't moved on much what with all the weekends away and various birthday celebs. Limpy is still spending nap time in the garden, but is easily startled and wont to wander off if we go out there. Unlike her braver earlier years.
Temps now quite mild, but a day of quite a lot of cloud with the odd spell of sunshine and the odder bit of spitting rain. Nevertheless we had our halloumi fry-up outside with the last couple of weeks of Guardian quiz. New neighbours had friends round and were also hanging out in the garden. We heard the pop of a cork, something being celebrated.
Cycled to Pilates, good to pick that up again. Brought back veggie sausage roll and scotch egg from the park Saturday market for lunch, again outside.
Watched Touch the Sound - a documentary about Evelyn Glennie, the famous percussionist who became profoundly deaf at the age of 12.
In more political news, Sinn Fein have won a majority in the Northern Ireland assembly. How far ahead is reunification now. Apparently a majority of the population still favour remaining in the UK, but it's probably only a matter of time before demographic changes swing things.
1. Useful stuff done: Dave's 60+ oyster card and more importantly our flights to Italy - on the same flight as Anna.
2. Birthday present from sister S arrived - 3 clematis plants.
3. Very fresh and delicious mushrooms from the market including something called elm mushrooms. Fried up for supper with salmon and mash.
Agreed about eating outside - I'm always surprised not to see our neighbours spending time in their gardens like that.
Sounds like a wonderful day - lots of joy
