Very quiet weekend evening in Minehead - a few groups on the beach.
So plan B swung into action once I'd tested - even though I still felt there was a bit of cold left, the line - if it was actually there - was more or less imperceptible. I decided to let Dave check in without me and stay one night at a Minehead hotel and if test was negative tomorrow finally turn up at the music week having missed just one day.
Lovely day, so a shame to spend most of it in the car - but thankful that despite all tubes and trains being out, the journey was the normal 4 hours. Dave left me at the hotel to drive to the music week where he was booked in for supper. I walked into town and looked at the sea and had fish and chips.
3 good things
1. Apart from tea tasting funny (honest!), I've not had a bad COVID experience.
2. Hotel has a bath - just about to luxuriate.
3. Andy who also came down with COVID, has recovered and will be at the music week teaching.
Oh memories! We used to spend holidays at Blue Anchor playing with the steam trains and often went to Minehead beach when were at that end of the line. Glad you were well enough to be out there.
