A seismic event

RIP Queen Elizabeth II, our longest serving monarch. The image on screen as they played the national anthem this evening after the official announcement of her death at the age of 96.

I am no believer in the royal family but she was a hardworking public servant and one of a kind and has been a constant my whole life. I am truly saddened.

She left quite a legacy. I admired her from afar. Britain’s longest reigning Monarch has now become history. May her son lead honorably.

I admired her. The most moving photo I've seen today is the double rainbow that appeared today over the palace just before her death was announced.

Very sad and she will be sorely missed by most of the nation it can’t be easy for her family or her son the new king who is unable to grieve privately

I think much of the world feels about The Queen as you do. I can think of no individual who served the people for as long or with such grace as Queen Elizabeth. Being in Canada, I'm touched by the lowered flags and the bells that chimed on the day she died.

Yes, you are not alone in that. You know I am a great lover of the Royals, but equally I know many who are not yet had a high respect for the Queen. She really was a remarkable woman.

My mum's sister married an admiral (Sir Desmond Cassidi) and got to know the Queen through him! She had nothing but admiration for the Queen.

I think lots of people feel as you do & I don’t think one if them would disagree with your description of our queen & her life. She was a star.
