The famous Raymond's Revue Bar in Soho. I always find the word striptease rather quaint.
T and B had meetings sporadically through the morning so we found ourselves tiptoeing around at times trying not to disturb them. But did find a window between meetings to have halloumi and toast with them and mum.
We left mum with T and B - they were going to drive her back and have a Turkish meal out with her. We went into town to the Gielgud Theatre to see Matthew Modine in To Kill a Mockingbird. Excellent production, with some adaptations to bring in modern resonances. Spotted Matthew Modine at the stage door after.
Walked to Mildreds after for a good vegan slap-up dinner - some kind of chilli salad in crackers to share, fennel sausages and mash and a sticky toffee pudding.
Home to prosaically put a bread on and the bins out.
A comical moment later after we'd had a cup of tea with T and B when mum phoned to say she'd picked up the wrong charger - after a lot of impatient quizzing and semi-successful attempts at facetiming, she managed to pull out the pin on the charger plug which is what the problem was.
3 good things
1. Not half bad seats in the rear stalls - a bargain at £15 each.
2. Mildreds's red wine gravy.
3. Rain predicted and there were quite a few puddles around after the show, but we seemed to miss all the showers.
