The Confessions of Frannie Langton

The book I was finishing at midnight on Thursday. Excellently written, fascinating story. Colleague said what was it like and I described it as a murder mystery cum courtroom drama cum 19th century black experience tale cum lesbian romance set in Jamaica and London. So there you have it in a nutshell.

Another bright freezing day - proper winter - but didn't get out in it as worked from home. Lazy so-and-so.

1. Managed to complete and submit my security clearance form - so many ridiculous questions.
2. The smuttiness of Winterwatch - live beaver action indeed.
3. Gas safety check and boiler service at the flat all good.

Sounds an intriguing read. Has it been on TV recently? Seen a trailer that looks similar to your description.

That's a lot of plot to fit in a single book - so pleased you enjoyed it. Nothing beats the escapism of a good book!
