Boy I needed this, and red wine, after a fraught work week and a lot of uncontrollable low level fretting about just about everything else. Red velvet cake and Dave's tiramisu at a local pizza place.
After another day of albeit slightly less fraughtness, I told Dave I needed wine and pizza. Ticket tracking system requirements finally signed off.
Had also spent a lunchtime queuing at the post office to get euros on behalf of mum for R and find a card and gift voucher for tomorrow's wedding.
3 good things
1. Couldn't find garden centre vouchers, but the post office had John Lewis vouchers.
2. This pizza place is really tucked away on the way to nowhere but it was pleasingly busy and the food and service was excellent - calamari and seafood salad to start, tuna and onion pizza and stewed fish with veg after. We've visited before and always have a good experience.
3. Enjoying the sustained period of settled, if cold, weather - no heavy rains or strong gales to make me panicky.
