A very restless night after all the bento and cocktail, wine and baklava. Woke up wondering if I was having a heart attack though I was fairly sure it was intense indigestion.
And then rather than detox, we opened a bottle of cava with breakfast. Though we went easy on the food with only a small fry-up of halloumi and mushrooms and tomatoes. Then ruined it by having more cake and baklava. Started getting a bit stressed as we started trying to arrange family birthday celebrations for my big one this year so was a little relieved when mum got into the Uber home with the remains of her bento and a hot cross bun. But then I got stressed again as she didn't answer her phone when she should have been back. Turned out she'd unplugged her landline by mistake.
Finally got out for a cycle along the towpath - sunny and bright and very busy with people.
3 good things
1. I wasn't having a heart attack.
2. The sunshine was actually on the warmish side.
3. Think I've made a decision on the date for a birthday meet-up for friends - later in May avoiding the bank holidays.
I like the composition of the pretty flowers. I think the best shot of grape hyacinths I have seen. I hope you manage to make arrangements for the big celebration without any further stress.
