At the tutors' concert at the end of More than Melodeons at Wingfield Barns. Playing a couple of tunes together at the end of their individual sets.
Early start driving to Suffolk on a glorious sunny morning. Weather stayed lovely all day, positively hot by the afternoon. Dave came in with me to get a cup of tea, but left to hang out and catch 40 winks in the car while I did my morning workshops.
Andy Cutting doing Hunt the Squirrel and looking at the bass end was excellent of course and then Mossy Christian learning Lincolnshire jigs on my one-row C box, also good.
Dave returned for our lunch sitting outside in the sun before heading to the Airbnb to check in. I joined in a fairly appalling session (no one listening and people playing at different speeds). One last workshop for me again with Andy, making tunes sound interesting.
Long gap before the concert after, with no sign of the advertised session, but was lovely just bathing in the sunny warmth with a beer. Very nice chilli and bits for supper.
Nice concert to end the day with all the tutors. Attendance generally for what is a lovely event seemed as sparse as last year, shame.
Walked home with a little light still in the sky to our cart lodge for tea and nibbles.
