Reading in the park

Took my book for a short stroll to the nearby little park after work.

Exhausted all day as I'd woken at 2.45am and hadn't been able to get back to sleep even with getting up for a bit and trying to distract my active brain. Was very overwrought by the time the alarm went off.

Almost didn't log in but remembered I had a training session to do with potential new editors which would have been hard to reschedule. And after that it just got busy with stuff I had to do - ploughed through it, my eyes itching with tiredness.

Forced myself to get off out for a short walk after rather than collapse straightaway.

A book in the park sounds like a good antidote to a long day.

Not being able to sleep is so aggravating and I experience it too on occasion. Taking your book to the park was a great idea to regenerate. I'm curious... any chance you work at a publishing house? I was wondering since you mentioned "potential new editors." Gosh... in my opinion writing is some of the most difficult work there is... but editing is as well. A good editor is a Godsend!
