Dancing in the afternoon bal to Bailey and Keely at Shrewsbury Folk Festival. Catching up with photos from the long bank holiday weekend.
Today was the worst of the washout weekend - rain set in about 9 and was around most of the day. The paths got very muddy but wasn't too bad wearing wellies and trainers. The worst of the heavy rain was in the morning but it eased a bit as the day wore on.
Stayed in the tent and dozed after an early shower before a breakfast of bread with cheese, bananas and peanut butter.
The bal with Bailey and Keely was excellent, two young very talented musicians - my legs weren't too bad. Went to Kerr Fagan after, getting there early with Anna to get chair space. Superb as always visiting a lot of their older material.
Afternoon in another good food tent session and looking at melodeons with Claire who had decided she wanted to buy one (she did later).
Very good fish and chips for supper before changing for the bal with Topette. Another great dance event but my legs weren't working as well this time.
Boggart's Breakfast did a spot after Topette, very talented stick handling while dancers in Greek fancy dress started to arrive for the ceilidh with Hekety - including an excellent Trojan horse, a Medusa, and a lot of creative work with sheets.
Went to a quiet food tent session which was soured somewhat by R being rude to C. Went on to a session in the Berwick till 2 which was only just ok.
