Tat

My friend Lara who's a textile technician at Chelsea art college had a private view of her work today along with some of her textile colleagues - it went under the collective name of 'TAT' - Technically Advanced Textiles' apparently. I've known Lara's work for ages but it's nice to see it here in an art context - beautiful patterns, shapes and colours - based on drawings she made when we were all in Italy. Some of the visitors are suitably entranced.

Earlier, had a quick couple of drinks at Neil's leaving do - he's left under unfortunate circumstances, rather unfairly it seems.

And at lunchtime, tried out the new Picante Mexican Grill burritos with Naomi.

What a gadfly.

These are beautiful. Looks like it would have been a fun show.

The display of Lara's work is special enough but the figures examining it makes the picture come to life!

i love that you've captured other people appreciating the work...and really getting "into" it. I'm sure your friend will love that you took pics at the show.
