View from my umbrella

I love using my grown-up umbrella - the full-size William Morris umbrella I bought in October from the gallery. Am being oh-so-careful that I don't leave it on the Victoria line (famous last words). Very damp this morning, but cleared up by the afternoon though remaining dark, and then quite cold when I left. Look at me, so English, I sound like a weather forecast.

@fueast - not so far, but I would be wary of taking it out in wind ....

@boxplayer Oh - are there any brollies you can take out in the wind?

Well a good investment I'd say. You get what you pay for and I went out with one that was free from the Boden Pop Up shop in Birmingham. Chaos insued....

@fueast - my little mini one has always been quite good - just a Boots one I think - but because it's tiny I can keep a good hold of it and usually control it. Having said that as it's tiny, it doesn't actually keep much rain off esp. if it's horizontal ... best to don waterproofs in windy rain ...

Great photo. Very creative.

@fueast I think the answer to that is a tie on rain bonnet! That's what I'm going for....

@judithg - that made me laugh .. visions of upended brollies strewn across the street or hapless owners sailing into the air a la Mary Poppins ...

It certainly makes a nice frame - -and keeps the camera dry!

The umbrella gives a very nice light & frame to this picture. A William Morris brolly is rather special & the nicest one in the photo!
