The One that Got Away by bradsworld

The One that Got Away

Hint #1: it wasn't the fish...
Hint #2: it wasn't the pole...
Hint #3: it wasn't the bait, though I like that answer...

It was the fisherman. He'd probably needed to get away for a long time. :)
Awesome!

I really like this! Just out of curiosity... did you know the fisherman? I saw some people fishing a couple of days ago and would have loved to have taken a photo but I haven't quite plucked up the courage to ask a stranger yet!

Rupe likes to say: "It's not the computer ... it's the operator ..."

And, in this case, you can replace 'operator' with 'fisherman' ... who Rupe is certain had a terrifical time, no matter whether he caught a fish or not.

Superb photo .....

Nice shot! Wow! And your words just fit perfectly with this image!

Thanks for answering my question Brad :-) I guess it's one of those things where you just have to judge the personal distance/situation etc about whether you ask someone about taking a photo or not. My feeling is that it might be easier to ask in some cultures/situations than in others!

Well, this is a nice, serene moment. I would have guessed one of your buddies jumped in because you were trying to steal his soul with your camera again....but apparently, I would have been wrong. (:

Haha. I love that when that happens.

Great captions, brad...sorry but your captions win over the pix itself.
You are a great example of how words play can be so powerful.

Nice shot! I do hear that fishing helps with that, and when I see the surfers just sitting out on their boards, I think that's what they're doing as well! Yes, we are almost neighbors -- I thought that ocean looked familiar :) And thanks for the tip on the link. I had tried that before I decided to get fancy, because neither way seems to work. Hmmm...
