Love this! Really I do. Soft spot for old hotels, especially ones that remind me of "True Romance"... great movie. I like how the signs fill the frame, too.
very cool. Believe it or not I have a collection of shots I've taken of old motel signs. I especially like the ones with "COLOR TV by RCA"...We actually stay in them pretty often - the price is right, and most of them are pretty clean. (but our main reason for staying in them is that they have more character than the ones that cost 3-4 times as much)
I love the old motel signs, too...Always makes me think of the movies where people just pull off the side of the road to some run down, dowdy motel and meet their soul mates...or stash large amounts of cash...or find a body .... : /
I remember when Motel signs looked like this....and the really nice ones advertised Color TV or Air Conditioning in every Room !!!! Now the Motel signs advertise "Free Wireless".
