started the kitchen. wall had to be plastered.boiler in tomorrow. John not to well at the minute. so son's drafted into to move the heavy stuff. plaster makes such a mess! we are having radiator on that wall and the chimney breast knocked out for a log burner .

older we get i think we cannot cope with the mess! been putting off for so long/ been away/ etc. now too close to xmas for my liking.. but is getting people to do the jobs too..John not very well either at the moment .. so not good time .. still just have to get on with everything ,, gosh the dust under my dresser!! lol
John won't be liking not being able to do his bit or perhaps he feels too tired so not bothered! He must stay out of the way & let others do the heavy...thank goodness for sons! Will be well worth it Brenda & lovely & cosy this winter. Just a bit much when you have other things on your mind though!
I admire you in handling this kind of disruptions before Christmas - I agree as we get older it is harder to cope with the disruptions to normal day to day living and especially if your John is not well ( hope he will be better soon !) I have one or two major jobs to be done in the house , but can not face them till it is warmer !!! Hope the job gets on well and you will benefit from the improvement during the winter !
Wishing your fella better. Love the anticipation of something new when you start a bit of work like this. Messy but something lovely to look forward to.

mess mess. worse today has boiler being fitted. bathroom cabinet knocked out. furniture all over the place. no water.. still can only get better
