“Birch and Foliage”

One of the most prevalent trees in the Massachusetts area is the birch which is something I honestly do not see a lot of in NY. The white with black interspersed is definitely an attractive pattern and I thought it made a nice background for the newly sprung foliage on the branches. [5 May 2018]

“One will never again look at a birch tree, after the Robert Frost poem, in exactly the same way.”
~ Paul Muldoon
What lovely pussy willows! (Do you call them that in the US too? Even when it isn't a willow tree, people tend to use the name for the style of flower.)
