“Reflections From the Wallkill River Banks”

It was a chillingly cold afternoon walking the banks of the Wallkill River in New Paltz, NY this afternoon and I was taken by the reflection of the distant tree in the river’s mirror like surface framed by the low hanging branches in the foreground. Taken at the golden hour, that ‘almost twilight’ hour prior to the sun abandoning the day, when the surroundings are eerily quiet with the night not so far away. [13 January 2019]

“Twilight - a time of pause when nature changes her guard. All living things would fade and die from too much light or too much dark, if twilight were not.” - Howard Thurman
Ohhh ... this is so nice! The twining of the real and reflected branches look like lace. Such a peaceful, end of day, capture!
A FAV!
