Ode to Rita

For my Get pushed challenge this week.. the instructions went like ths.."Anyway the challenge is to think of two techniques or styles you really like and would like to try, two techniques or styles you don't like and add Intentional Camera Movement Shot and a Blue Hour shot into the mix. Use a dice to select or draw one out of a hat whatever way you like. This technique/style becomes your challenge"
I have taken this B&W. It represents my grandmother Margherita. She was a devout catholic which i have used these religious medals to represent that. The vintage starched linen white cloth, which you can see is old (notice the hole!) was hers. It is somewhat patched up
I didn't have a lot of time to set this up and edit.. so this is how it turned out .. for now

Well done Brigette. I like the contrast between the darker, harder metals and the soft lighter cloth. For me it almost works as two pictures with the contrast of the embroidery on the right against the medals on the left - but somehow the hole in the cloth ties it all in together so well.

Now do tell - was this a technique you hoped for or one you were hoping to dodge?
