Mummy's Little Helper

Me and hubby have decided that we really need to get our boys doing more in the house. I was a lazy child growing up. My mum used to grumble that we didn't do anything in the house and she was right. It was only when we were in our twenties that she said that we need to do more chores and do the cooking. It was a bit of a shock to the system. Now I see my sister having issues with her grown kids and the fact that they're not helping around the house. So things need to change. Cue Little L helping to do the Sunday cooking for the first time. It's a bit of a novelty for now but I'm sure that in a few weeks time there will be moaning aplenty. Especially when it comes to his older 13 year old brother taking his turn next Sunday with dad. But we need to start as we mean to go on. No lazy kids in this house. No sirree!

I apologise for not thanking you for your comments and favs the last week or so. It's been pretty hectic and I'm way behind with things.
Good to see. I wish someone had taught me a bit more when I was a kid. And this is an interesting shot. He is taking so much care over that carrot, it should by rights taste absolutely marvellous (it won't last, I'm sure!).

Lovely shot and a great idea. We are getting our kids to help out now too.

@peadar I was so lazy it's untrue. Hoping to teach my kids that they don't have to rely on anyone to get stuff done.

@jesperani Good luck. It's keeping up the momentum that's hard as it's easier to do things yourself.

Thanks @casablanca I hope that it's the start of regular helpings in the kitchen
