To my surprise a sight I've never seen before in all the 30 years that we have lived here. an optical illusion..looked to me like a floating island but it was due to the fog over the Holland River river which empties into Cooks Bay. (Cooks Bay is the southern part of Lake Simcoe.)

Beautiful catch! I love fog on the water. We usually get that effect around here in the fall. I particularly like the bottom shot with the bird (heron?).
