Almost new

This is what Hans found when he opened up the birdhouse. Looks like it was never in use. I find it interesting to see all the bids and pieces the birds collected to build this nest. debating if I should advertise it in local paper under the house for sale. preferable youg couple. hey just joking.
Hilarious Bruni!!!!! interesting find!

Hi Bruni. We are paired up for the Push challenge. I admit...I didn't look through all of your photos. :) Quite an impressive project! You have a lot of really wonderful shots. What I would like to push you to try is some obvious editing. Your choice of subject and style, but I would like to see your processing skills. Have fun and I can't wait to see what you come up with.

@gijsje I told Hans and he says dank.(danke in German)
you said I follow you since February 2011. I went back in you calendar and found the first comment to you in September of 2011. sometimes I wonder how easy it would be if our followers list had date on it when we start following someone.

What a great find! I bet it was used. Birds are funny. They leave very little trace behind in the their nests. Nice shot!

Nice shot and a wonderful find, Bruni. The birds use so many things to build their nests. It is amazing. Our neighbors tree got TP'd and the birds used the TP (Toilet Paper) to put together the nest that is still in our backyard.

@if1 @prttblues I thank both of you for your comment..we have two birdhouses both are on a supporting pole of our over-roofed deck. the one on the left is very plain, just a box my husband built. every year it has sparrows occupying i t least 2-3 times. when he takes that nest out as he cleans up the birdhouse it looks completely different. in other words you can see it was used to put it mildly..now the one in question -we watched he birds built it but they never took posession of it..no eggs, no young ones although some sparrows were flying in and many others were just sitting on top of the house. so there was lots of action..it looks brand spanking new when he finally removed it.

Isn't it fascinating how they build them and what they use? I used to collect them and had some with the strangest things stuck in them! Nice capture Bruni!
