Hanging in there

My view from where I already spent way to many days on the couch taking it easy. I thought I would take a picture of the last few leaves on our maple tree because it might be the last time so see them with the approaching storm tonight which is suppose to last until late Tuesday evening.. needless to say I didn't feel up to going with Hans to the airport to pick up Grace and Lionel. I was just so thankful that my prayers were answered for their safe return. I heard they spent the worst night of their lifes on this heaving vessel. one minute the waves lifted the ship up and the next minute it was slapped down again. Grace had to work right away after her return and will come to see me tonight..
very nice Bruni hope you and your family stay safe from Hurricane Sandy

Love the colors of the leaves in this photo, Bruni. Sorry you are still down and glad you have Hans to take care of you. Hope Sandy stays away from you that has hit our east coast so hard. Take care and feel well.

@darsphotos Thank you Darlene..yes we were so fortunate our erea wasn't hit hard just some heavy wind and rain but all looks ok out here..we're 47 miles away from Toronto's downtown core and Toronto got hit badly. I've been off the computer all day but will get active tomorrow..like to find out how our friends all made out with "Sandy". hope your're all well.

@bruni I am glad your area was not hit hard, Bruni. Sorry to hear about Toronto. Sure are a lot of people that will have a very different life for now and for days, weeks and probably months to come. I am glad you are resting. I have been checking on friends and have not heard back from one and concerned about her. I am doing well. It was close to 80 degrees today. In shorts and a t-shirt and bare feet. I am behind on here posting but trying to keep up with commenting. Seems I do not have the time to spend on here to keep up.

@leananiemand Leana thank your for your concern..Toronto is actually at the southern part of Ontario. when I speak of north its because we live 47 meters north of Toronot. So Toronto got hit..lots of power outages, trees down and even some damaged houses. T. didn't get as much rain as they had expected. our little town here just had a normal size storm, rain and all we could see were some dead branches on the ground. so I think we fared well. I actually spent over half the day in the ER in our Newmarket hospital. you cn read my posting of today if you care to.
