A little selfie. Hans took a picture of me walking up a steady incline of about 30 degrees on a stretch of 100 yards. not easy when one lives in a flat area and not being used to the hilly countryside. here in Remscheid everything is either up or down. see the jogger behind me?

What a beautiful place to take a walk though I am not used to walking where it is hilly either. Hoping your back is getting better. It may be a really good thing to get out and walk around. You look very comfortable and it looks like the weather is very nice there based on what you are wearing. Just read your comment above and did not hear about the floods. Glad that did not affect Hans family but yes, sad for those who got flooded.
Nice shot! I'm used to ups and downs, but I do it in a car instead of walking. It's a lot more fun and a lot faster! How'd your legs feel after? A bit wobbly? Great job, Hans! It's nice to see Bruni out exercising... And yes, that jogger will be passing you soon, Bruni! :) Hope you're having a blast!
@prttblues Oh Bev you should see the narrow streets here..no wonder they all drive very small cars. I took pictures of some of them but on the picture it doesn't look as bad as when you see it yourself. if someone comes from the front either that person or we have to back up to a place where it's just a little wider, otherwise you can not pass them. Hans is so used to it and loves driving here..it was the same when we were vacationing in West Virginia, oh boy was he in heaven. he said at the time: just like were I come from and he was right. we're finally relaxing a bit and I got some medication from the doctor we went to yesterday. one pill makes me dopy as if I wasn't already dopy before. 10 days of meds and then he wants to see me again. although he is also a chiropractor it sounded like he didn't think much of it. so after he examined me all he did was prescribe the meds. having back pain on vacation kind of spoils it. it was the same when we were in Atlantic City in New Jersey when I had the problem with me leg..what was it called again, sciatica or something like that (pinched nerve). 7 weeks of that, it started already at home and then we drove all the way from Toronto to W.VA.

@olivetreeann Ann. what is it with me? when we vacationed in Atlantic City, NJ I had the sciatica and now the pack pain. I think I better stay home from now on. well, we`re still having a great time and it`s nice to visit with all of his brothers. we`re staying at his sister and the family takes turn having all of us get together. so you can imagine lots of BBQ. at various locations. thank you Ann for viewing and commenting on my pictures. unfortunately I can`t spend too much time on here. first of all sitting is not good for me right now and last time in 2010 when we were here I spent too much away from our host upstairs in our apartment on the computer. can`t and shouldn`t do it again this time.
