The first two pictures on top I took of the internet to show you the crowd, which I find very difficult to take pictures of when you're walking behind the people. thousands of visitors were expected over the 4 day festivities. this year was the 43rd annual fest. the collage I made is underneath these two pictures. most of the pictures are selfs explanatory. I just like to point out the top left and second one down. I took a picture of a special made vehicle used for mass BBQing. it was propane powered and you can see the huge chunks of meat. the meat looked mouth watering when the guys cut a piece in half. unfortunately we just had our lunch in Barrie before we walked over to the waterfront where the festivities took place. there were probably over 400 Arts and Craft Booths which featured hand made items made from wood, stone, tin and the like, lots of unique clothing for kids, adults and even dogs were on display. entertainment for young and the young at heart with bands playing, beer gardens to sit and relax, entertainment for the kids, not to mention the playgrounds and of course the beach for swimming. I think young and not so young all had fun.
@catsmeowb Thank you Camille for both comment and fav. I uploaded so many collages in a row. but you see , it's the only way to show all we saw on our extended long weekend.
Thank you dear Bruni for you visits and all you so lovely comments. And the fav. Those bees happen to fly around and grounded on that flower. Those were very attractive to to them. It take a while for that many
Love your collage and what you wrote, Bruni. Sounds like such a wonderful time. Too bad you had already eaten lunch but gave you more time to enjoy the festivities.
Wow! That's a lot of people! I'd have a hard time with that!! All your photos are great. You definitely captured the atmosphere. Love the water shots best. It looks so calm and peaceful. Great collage, Bruni! Well done :)
@prttblues I had this picture in the collage of the day before. July 20th and most of the comments I received mentioned about the destruction but there are always some who maybe not take the time and read about it and therefore not realized that there was damage done. the collage pictures are smaller and maybe that's why it was not to noticeable.
@bruni I figured that, Bruni... I think that people don't even pay attention. They tend to just see the thumbnail, think "oh nice" or just comment on it without even seeing it. I always click on the picture to view it and sometimes enlarge it (like I did this one!!). It's annoying when you have more comments then you do views. It means people really don't pay attention or care enough to actually look at the work that the photographer has put in to get the shot they took. There is more detail in a bigger photo. You can actually see the broken tree trunks and the branches all over the road. From a thumbnail, you don't notice it. I guess that's a pet peeve for me here.
