We spent most of the day at a Horse Jumping Competition. This is the first one in a long time for our granddaughter.. Ever since Shayelynne's horse, Georgia was diagnosed with a bone disease called navicular, Shayelynne can still ride her, but jumping is out of the question. Georgia is well taken care off and receives TLC from Shayelynne and her mom. Shayelynne has found another horse and with just about 2 1/2 weeks to get to now each other and a few riding/jumping lessons her trainer was confident to enroll her in today's competition. Fritz is his name and he is very spunky and was eager to show off. Both did very well in the competition today and we are all proud of horse and rider. Mind you Shayelynne was hoping to get some ribbons, but everyone including her trainer said she and Fritz did just awesome when you consider the short time for getting ready for this event and that there’ll be more competitions coming up during the summer and told her with even more practise she’ll get there soon enough. We had a great day, the weather was perfect, lots of sunshine, warm but breezy. A nice outing all together.
Gee that navicular is a horrible disease. Shayelynne & Fritz look like they are forming a good partnership, he sure is one handsome fellow. Hope they have a long and good partnership together.
Lovely shot, Bruni. That horse is just gorgeous and Shaylynne is beautiful. I love he way she's facing out the windows as if concentrating on a perfect performance. You all must be so proud of her. What a lucky young lady. Fave.
@thresheg@lisatown@prttblues I received another fav. but don't know from whom. so I like to thank Graham, Lisa and Bev for favoring Shayelynne and her new horse. she'll be so happy to see so many comments on her picture.
@monicac@cimes1 Didn't expect to receive fav. on Shayelynne and her new horse named Fritz. Fritz is not a very common name in Germany. I think it suits the horse well. thank you Ladies for comment and favor. truly appreciated. Shayely will be surprised.
That is sad about her other horse. :0( I am glad she is getting another one that will be able to jump. She is so lucky to get to do this wonderful hobby. Handsome photo of them together. It's on the PP! Congrats!
@espyetta Thank you MaryBeth for letting me know. I would've never checked it with only 6 favorites. You wonder what they go by when someone with 44 favorites didn't make the PP.
@snowy It's our granddaughter and yes we're very proud of her. it wasn't easy to realize for her that her horse, Georgia could can no longer jump. she only has this new horse for a month now and they both did so well in the competition. thank you, Diana for your comment.
