My Christmas wish to Santa this year is to thank all my friends and followers on 365 for the well wishes and prayers - they helped me on the road of a speedy recovery.
May this season find you in good health and spirit among loved ones and friends.
I am so glad you are home, Bruni! I think about you every day. How is your health? Merry Christmas to you too! This beautiful flame is perfect for the season and for hope for a happy new year.
Yay!!!!! This is a wonderful picture. Faving it! I'm just really happy that you are out of the hospital and home, Bruni! You take your time getting back to 365. Do not overdo it or I'll tell Hans. Huge hugs from your neighbor to the South.
So glad you are home and doing well, Bruni. I love your photo and all you wrote. Merry Christmas to you and your family and to a healthy 2015 as well. FAV
Thanks for answered prayers. So glad you're home from hospital. Some advice from a friend who's been there. 30 years ago I had a heart attack on 18th December. I came out of hospital on Christmas Eve. It was the most restful holiday ever as everyone else did all the work and I let them. More big hugs coming your way.
@ceilidh Margaret, thank you for your sound advice. I should follow it, only I've a difficult time. it's not in my nature to sit back and I know I've done too much too soon. the last of couple of daysI realized I needed to stop and have more rest periods. you hear about a strokes and heartattac swhile in the cardiac station. I also spent a few days in the Open Heart Surgery area in 2010 when I was waiting to get a bed in the cardiac unit, so I've chatted with some people. the lady next to me at that time had a triple bypass. I still recognize nurses and receptionists fand cleaning personel while therer in 2010 and 2011 when I had my first and second ablation for A fib. the unfortunate part of being there is the food to no food when waiting for procedures. when I had my first ablation and to be hospitalized shortly after, I lost 15 pounds in a week and now probably another 10 pounds. I'm slowly fading away. thank you againagain, Margarete and this time the hugs are coming your way!! support and the hugs..they're now coming your way.
@bruni good to know that you can see when it's too much, and that you recognised staff in the hospital. Don't fade too for way my friend, just pass the method on to me!!
@carolmw Carol, it was the most enjoyable Christmas Eve in years. usually we get together with the whole family at my sons place..this time we postponed it to this Saturday (tomorrow), it gave me a few more days to recuperate. so we were just Grace and her partner, Hans and I this Christmas Eve it was a quiet evening with lovely German Christmas songs playing the background. I taped many of the old Christmas songs we sang as kids in Germany and over the years added more and more tapes by listening to a German radio station here in Toronto. we all sang along and surprisingly Grace remembered many of the ones I taught her when she was about 5 years old and learned more over the years. singing along while Hans lights he candles . we buy them in a German delicatessen store. they light up the tree for about one to one and a half hours and get prettier the smaller they get until they are all burned out. no other lights in the room and a fire extinguisher right next to the tree. one person is always in the room and watches each and every candle, especially when they get small and only one candle is left burning...we never had a flare up or needed to use the fire extinguisher. it's quite safe when some watches closely. I brought over from Germany when I immigrated in 1955 and started my own family.
@cejaanderson Jane, I'm doing much better. this morning I took my last antibiotic pill. (they sent me home with a prescriptionof seven days x 2 to finish a run of 10 days. now I've to work on getting rid of water in my legs and feet..I think I've about 8-10 pounds of water in them. since I took the last antibiotic pill today I can start taking water pills as I call them by tomorrow. thank you so much to be concerned.
I am so glad you are feeling so much better, Bruni. Sounds like you had a wonderful Christmas Eve and hope your time on Saturday was wonderful as well. One day at a time. Take care of you as you gain your strength back. Such a pretty photo.
Ian
